The Friends of Treborth Botanic Garden

We support Bangor University’s Botanic Garden by fund raising, volunteering in the Garden, and promoting the valuable conservation and educational work that it does.

The Friends are a very successful charitable organisation with more than 400 members. 

We organise a variety of events, such as lectures, workshops, field outings, garden visits, plant sales and open days.

The AMM will be in the Lab at Treborth but it will also be available to members online if you want to join from home.

This is a Free Event.

The first part of the meeting will be comprised of reports from the trustees and updates from the Garden team.

After a break for refreshments our Treborth experts will be ready to answer your gardening questions!

The number of people in the Lab is limited to 30 and therefore, if you wish to come, please email Simon at friendsoftreborthbotanicgarden@outlook.com to book, or let us know if you want to join online and we will send you the link.

Christmas flower bauble workshop with Anna from Branch & Brush Studios.

Sunday 8th December 10am-12pm at Treborth Botanic Garden.

Create a selection of beautiful glass baubles, decorated with pressed flowers from Anna's personal collection and filled with a choice of locally grown dried flowers and Christmassy scents.

Take your flower baubles home to hang on the tree or gift to friends and family for a lovely handmade Christmas. 

Expect to make two or three baubles each, during a morning of flowery festive fun! Hot drinks and mince pies included. 

Booking is essential as numbers are limited. Cost £30 plus Eventbrite booking fee.

Some Friends enjoy volunteering in the Garden on Wednesdays or Fridays, some prefer to help out at special events, and all members support us through their membership subscription.

Every four months, we publish a newsletter - a 50 page illustrated review of news about the Garden, and articles contributed by the Friends on a wide range of relevant topics.

Treborth Botanic Garden is located alongside the iconic Menai Strait, between the two historic bridges that cross the Strait, the Menai Bridge and the Britannia Bridge.
